Raphinha has put the final nail in the coffin of transfer rumours linking him with a move away from Leeds United.
The Whites winger was the subject of heavy speculation last month as Liverpool were linked with a £32million offer.
Those reports largely resonated from the foreign media, with Leeds director of football, Angus Kinnear, on record insisting the club would not be selling their prized assets.
“Our transfer window is well underway,” Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds on June 17.
“Our targets have been identified, work with existing players has already taken place and we’re in a really good place, Marcelo and Victor are very confident they can each what they want to achieve.
“Everything is all under control, all the players want to stay, we want them to stay. There are discussions being had that we’re very confident of retaining everybody.”
Whilst interest in Raphinha isn’t surprising after his impressive debut Premier League season, Leeds have always held all the cards in negotiations.
The Brazilian would demand a handsome profit on the £17million shelled out to Rennes last summer, which tied him to Elland Road until 2024.
Equally, the noises out of Raphinah’s camp were only of respect and admiration for the club that handed him his break in English football.

Whilst the rumour mill swirled, the 24-year-old has been active on social media, posting pictures and graphics in Leeds shirts ahead of the new season.
No cryptic transfer clues, in fact, the exact opposite. Now, the emergence of a training video has all but confirmed Raphinha will be staying at Elland Road this summer.
With Ezgjan Alioski‘s departure now official, Raphinha has swooped to grab the number 10 shirt, upgrading from 18 which he wore in his debut campaign.
Neither the club nor Raphinha personally have acknowledged a change in number, which will likely be announced when the club confirm their 20/21 squad numbers for the new campaign towards the start of August.
However, this is yet another sign that Raphinah’s future lies at Elland Road, at least for the upcoming season.
