Popular Sicilian street food restaurant Poco to open new Leeds venue in Headingley – and they’re hiring



The popular Poco Sicilian Street Food restaurant is set to open a second venue in Leeds.

The eatery, which already has a premises on Kirkstall Road, in Burley, will open a second shop in Headingley.

An exact date for the opening has not yet been confirmed, but the restaurant, that serves Italian fare from pizza and pasta to salads, promises it’ll be “very soon”.

Poco announced the news on Instagram in a post that read: “This is the post you’ve been waiting for guys!

“We are thrilled to announce that we have chosen this beautiful neighbourhood to be the home of Poco 2.0.

“We have taken over a former @hello.workshop site on Otley Road – when we first came across it we knew this was it – the perfect spot we’ve been looking for a very long time.”

Poco continued: “We are aiming to open Poco 2.0 by the end of September – so spread the word guys and keep your eyes peeled – there will be a banging launch party, giveaways to celebrate the opening and lots of other exciting stuff soon.”

The post added that the restaurant was looking for staff for the new venue.

Many social media users were delighted at the news with one person writing “perfect” and another noting that it was a “great move”.
