Usually presented by Steph McGovern, Mel B took centre stage as she hosted her own version as part of Channel 4’s Black to Front project.

Fans of ‘Scary Spice’ were delighted as she took over the show today (September 10) and it seems Mel B was just as happy as she said: “It’s going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to spice up lunchtime television.”

A guest on the show asked: “It’s been 25 years since one of these, is there any plans to get back together, to reunite, maybe tour, something like that…

The guest added with a laugh: “What’s holding back the programme, is it Victoria?”

But Mel B was quick to set the record straight, saying: “Our last tour, Victoria respectfully ducked out, you have to respect it when someone doesn’t want to go on tour, they want to be with the family and things like that but I’m always pushing to have a Spice Girls reunion and we were kind of talks last year but then Covid hit.

She continued: “It pushed everyone’s plans AWOL but I think we’re hopefully on the same page together, they’re going to kill me for saying this but we’re hoping, especially if it’s got anything to do with me, which it will have because I’m the driving force…a tour in 2023.”
