A number of paramedics have been seen walking along and “searching” the River Aire in Leeds with a police helicopter also seen in the sky.
An ongoing incident has been declared near Viaduct Road with Yorkshire Ambulance Service dispatching at least one ambulance and an incident response unit to the scene.
An eyewitness, who also saw a police helicopter, said: “[There is a] chopper in the sky. Four paramedics are walking along the canal with a gurney.”
