Liam Gallagher takes brutal swipe at Man City fans over Ronaldo Manchester United signing

Liam Gallagher had a few things to say about Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United signing during his headline set at Leeds Festival tonight.

On stage at Bramham Park, the Manchester-born singer had some choice words to say about the latest football news.

Earlier today it was confirmed that 36-year-old forward Ronaldo would not be signing for Manchester City – the team Gallagher is a die-hard fan of – but instead, he would be joining Manchester United.

There had been a serious amount of speculation that Ronaldo would be joining Manchester City, but in a dramatic late twist of events it was announced he would instead re-join his former club.

And it seemed Liam Gallagher wasn’t too impressed with the turn of events.

Taking to the stage in front of a packed crowd at the festival, Liam took the opportunity to have his say on the matter.

“The Manchester lot, you got your f****** pants pulled down today with that one, didn’t ya?” he said to the event crowd.

Unsurprisingly – with no doubt many Manchester United fans in the audience – his comments were met with a lot of boos.

But Liam refused to relent and insisted: “Right f******* down.”

Once he had finished his brief rant, he then continued with his set. Never change, Liam.
