Leeds United transfers – Major Noa Lang update emerges and Matheus Cunha seals £30m move

Leeds United will have to move quickly if they want to sign any more players this summer, with just five days to go until deadline day.

There is still time for Marcelo Bielsa to add further names to their ranks but it could prove to be a busy week ahead for the Whites, who have made just three signings so far.

Junior Firpo, Kristoffer Klaesson and Jack Harrison have all made the switch to Elland Road and the trio might be joined by another couple of players should they pursue those targets.

Nonetheless, Leeds are next in action on Sunday when they make the trip across the Pennines to tackle Burnley, as they look to pick up their first Premier League win of the season.

In the meantime, plenty of rumours continue to circle and we have identified some of the latest pieces of speculation.

Leeds ‘priced’ out of Lang deal

Noa Lang has been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road within the last month, but Club Brugge are standing firm on their valuation of the player.

Belgian outlet Sport Voetbalmagazine claim that Lang’s asking price now stands at a whopping £30m, and it seems unlikely that Leeds would finance a move of that magnitude.

Brugge boss Phillipe Clement confirmed last Friday that the 22-year-old was happy where he was, but reports continued to circulate surrounding Lang’s future due to Leeds’ interest.

Dike linked with Leeds switch

Reports have suggested that Leeds are interested in signing USA striker Daryl Dike, as they look to bolster their options across the forward line.

According to TEAMtalk, the Whites are exploring a potential loan deal for the Orlando City man, who spent the second half of last season at Barnsley.

The 21-year-old showed plenty of promise during his short stint in the Championship, scoring nine goals in 19 appearances and would suit Marcelo Bielsa’s high intensity style of play.

However, they are likely to face stiff competition from West Bromwich Albion for his signature, with Dike keen on reuniting with former boss Valerian Ismael at the Baggies.

Atletico complete Cunha move

Leeds target Matheus Cunha has sealed a £30m move to Atletico Madrid from Hertha Berlin.

The Brazilian completed the transfer to the La Liga champions on Wednesday afternoon, ending any potential interest from the Whites this summer.

Everton had supposedly made a late attempt to try and hijack the switch, but they, along with Leeds, will now have to look at other targets in those attacking areas.
