Hundreds of protesters took to Leeds city centre this afternoon causing roads to be blocked and bus services delayed.
The Freedom Rally started at 1pm at Leeds Town Hall and demonstrators marched across the city centre shouting ‘freedom’.
The protest, dubbed a ‘World Wide Rally For Freedom’, was being held two months after Covid restrictions were relaxed and less than a week after plans for vaccine passports were shelved by the government.
