Heartbroken Kalvin Phillips’ moving tribute to Sarah Emmott after tragic death of young Leeds United fan



Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips has sent a moving tribute to little Leeds fan Sarah Emmott who has tragically died.

Sarah had been battling a rare kidney disease called Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome and also suffered from other complex health problems since she was born.

Sarah had already met Kalvin, who was her favourite player, when she walked onto the pitch with him at Elland Road.

The England midfielder posting a beautiful tribute Sarah today (Friday) with a number of pictures of the two together.

He wrote: “Rest In Peace Sarah you little angel, you touched my heart more than you will ever know. I’m so thankful to have met you, your amazing Mum and Dad and your brother Dane as you all became a very special part of my life.

“Your braveness and determination to be the happiest little girl in the room despite everything you were going through is something I will never forget. The world will be a bleaker place without you.”

The Leeds United official Twitter page also shared a tribute to Sarah and a video of Phillips surprising her on a TV show.

The club wrote: “Rest in peace Sarah, forever in our hearts. Our condolences to the Emmott family and everyone who knew Sarah.”

Sarah is survived by her mum Ellie, dad Andrew and big brother Dane.
