Armed officers descended on a major road in Leeds this evening, October 13, following reports of a group of people with weapons.
Two people, a man and a woman, were found injured by police in Harehills Lane.
Harehills Lane was closed in both directions between Strathmore Drive and Compton Road with police and ambulance crews at the scene.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix reported at the time: “Harehills Lane in both directions closed, slow traffic due to police incident between Strathmore Drive and Compton Road.”
Local bus services were also diverted including service 42 and 91.
Enquires into the incident remain ongoing at this time and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1138 of today.
