Leeds United’s slate of pre-season friendlies begins in earnest tonight when Marcelo Bielsa takes his side to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers.
Last night saw Mark Jackson lead a team predominately featuring under-23s players to a 3-2 win at Guiseley, but tonight’s line-up is likely to see Bielsa’s first-team squad in action.
That could mean a first sighting of summer signing Junior Firpo, who joined from Barcelona earlier this month, while Jack Harrison could make his first appearance as a permanent Leeds United player, after he completed his move from Manchester City.
Tonight’s match will see 5,000 travelling Leeds fans at Ewood Park in what will be supporters’ first major away day since February 2020.
