The four day weekend is just around the corner and with the weather on our side it’s set to be a warm one with the average temperature in the build up to bank holiday set at 21 degrees.
While cooler than previous heatwaves we have seen this year, it makes for perfect BBQ weather and many will be looking forward to enjoying dining alfresco this August Bank Holiday.
Or even if you’re just snuggling up on the couch for a Netflix binge, whatever your plans are, it’s likely to involve over indulging on all your favourite food – it is the last bank holiday before Christmas after all!

So it’s worth noting that the supermarket opening times are likely to be reduced over the long weekend to make sure you don’t get caught out low on supplies.
We’ve rounded up the August Bank Holiday weekend trading hours for Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, M&S and more.
However, it’s worth noting that there may be variation from store to store, so it’s always best to check with your local branch beforehand.

Aldi
Friday August 27 – normal opening hours for all UK Aldi stores
Saturday August 28 – 8am-10pm
Sunday August 29 – 10am-4pm
Monday August 30 – 8am-8pm

Asda
The majority of Asda stores will be open over the August bank holiday weekend.
Friday August 27 – normal opening hours for all Asda stores.
Saturday August 28 – 7am-10pm
Sunday August 29 – 10am-4pm
Monday August 30 – 8am-8pm

Co-op
During bank holidays some Co-op stores may open later and close earlier than normal.
Friday August 27 – 7am-10pm
Saturday August 28 – 6am-10pm (could open at 7am depending on location).
Sunday August 29 – 6am-10pm
Monday August 30 – 10am-4pm

Iceland will remain open over the bank holiday weekend, here are their times below.

Lidl
Lidl’s stores are mostly unaffected by the bank holiday weekend.
