Bebe Rexha wears dress with butt cutouts at VMAs 2023 despite body anxiety

Bebe Rexha did not let her fears of body-shaming keep her from attending the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

In fact, the pop star showed up to Tuesday’s event at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., wearing a black leather gown by The Uncommonist, complete with cheeky cutouts above both butt cheeks and an attached horse’s tail.

Julia Fox donned a similar skirt during New York Fashion Week in February.

Rexha’s cleavage-baring bodice, however, featured a cone bra à la Madonna.

The singer, 34, struck sexy pose after sexy pose on the pink carpet, putting her hourglass figure on display in the skintight number.

She accessorized her daring look with platform heels, long silver earrings and bracelets to match.

The blond bombshell wore her hair styled straight and parted down the middle, while she stayed true to her signature smokey eye and pale pink lip.

Rexha was admittedly “anxious and stressed” about making an appearance at the awards show, telling her TikTok followers in a candid video Monday night that she was worried people would be “talking about [her] weight.”

“I’m really not feeling like the bad bitch that I usually am,” the musician confessed. “I do have an outfit. It is cute. And I do wanna wear my dress. And I do really want to go to celebrate my nomination and my friends’ nominations, but I do feel like anxiety gets the best of me.”

Despite her insecurities, Rexha acknowledged that “everybody has these days, and nobody ever feels perfect.”

She is nominated in the Best Collaboration category for her song with David Guetta, “I’m Good (Blue).”
